Housing Spotlight: Four New Affordable Homes Dedicated in El Reno During Ceremony

Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma (NHSOKLA) recently dedicated four new affordable rental homes in El Reno during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 16 with the El Reno Chamber of Commerce board of directors and executive director.

The homes are located at: 617 W. Penn, 619 W. Penn, 614 W. Clarke, and 804 N. Evans.

Each single-family home is brick and includes energy efficient features, such as heat pumps. Each home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is approximately 1,200 square feet.  The homes were funded by the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency and constructed by NHSOKLA.     For leasing information, contact Vance at NHSOKLA at (405) 231-4663.

“We pride ourselves in using high standards in terms of quality and energy efficient products in our homes and rental properties. This means we offer housing that is built to last and ensures the minimum amount of maintenance to keep costs down,” said Bill Fulmer, NHSOKLA Housing Director.

Since 1981, NHSOKLA has been the trusted resource in central Oklahoma for access to affordable housing and a path to home ownership through education, financial coaching, home construction and supportive services.

“For many, finding safe, affordable rental housing can be the first step toward homeownership, said Roland Chupik, Executive Director of NHSOKLA.  “Our homebuyer education courses and financial counseling prepare our clients to become homeowners. We couple those efforts with an inventory of safe, affordable homes, and in some cases, we also provide down payment assistance, Chupik said.  More information about homeownership programs and services is available at nhsokla.org.
