Client Spotlight:
E. Diane Farrar

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and when it does it helps to have a team of experts in your corner. E. Diane Farrar found the help she needed at Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma. “I made decisions that caused me to almost lose my home. I was embarrassed and disappointed that my finances were such a mess,” the Oklahoma City resident said. “But, the staff at NHSOKLA was very encouraging and supportive. They work really hard to help their clients find resolution. They sure found one for me!” The staff worked directly with Farrar’s lender and helped lower her mortgage rate and payment. “Because of the lower payment, I have been able to address other debt. It feels really good to regain my footing,” she said. “NHSOKLA made a huge difference in my life and I know they are still there if I ever need them.” Farrar encourages others to find out how NHSOKLA can help them. In addition to helping clients avoid foreclosure, NHSOKLA offers homebuyer education classes, credit repair and budgeting, down payment assistance and rural home loans. “I was under so much stress. It’s very easy to beat up on yourself when things are not going well. But the hard things pass and life gets better. NHSOKLA is a wonderful organization. They do splendid work.”
