|William Wiley Rice, Jr. passed away on July 18, 2018. He worked for the City of Oklahoma City Planning Department for more than 20 years and quickly noticed the transformative work of Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma in the local community.
Wiley joined the NHSOKLA Board of Directors six years ago and most recently served as president. He knew the impact that safe, affordable housing made in a community, and believed that homeownership is the key to successful, stable neighborhoods.
“Wiley brought all of his years of experience as a City Planner to Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma and provided outstanding leadership during a time of growth for our organization. We will always be grateful for how he served our community and was a steady champion for affordable housing. He will greatly missed,” said Roland Chupik, NHSOKLA Executive Director.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma on our website or by contacting staff at NHSOKLA. When making your gift online, please note in the “additional information” comment field that your gift is in honor of Wiley.
We extend our sympathy to his wife, Bonnie, and family.
