Edmond Homebuyer Access Fund

Get Help With the Upfront Costs of Buying Your Home

Buying a home in Edmond? NHSOKLA may be able to help with up to $2,500 toward eligible homebuying and closing costs.

Neighborhood Housing Services Oklahoma (NHSOKLA) is helping make homeownership more attainable for income-qualified households purchasing a home in Edmond.

Through the Edmond Homebuyer Access Fund, eligible homebuyers can receive financial assistance to help cover many of the upfront expenses that come with purchasing a home.

Up to $2,500 in Homebuyer Assistance

Qualified homebuyers may receive assistance for actual eligible homebuying expenses, generally up to $2,500 per household.

Funds are limited and available on a first-qualified, funding-available basis.

What Can the Assistance Pay For?

Program funds may be used toward eligible costs associated with purchasing your home, including:

  • Home appraisal
  • Credit report fees
  • Professional home inspection
  • Title and settlement fees
  • Eligible lender and closing fees
  • Recording fees
  • Other approved homebuying or closing costs

NHSOKLA will review your mortgage documents and determine the amount of assistance needed based on your actual eligible expenses.

Assistance cannot result in cash back to the homebuyer at closing.

Who May Qualify?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Have a household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI)
  • Are purchasing a home within Edmond city limits
  • Will use the property as your primary residence

  • Qualify for an affordable mortgage loan

  • Provide the required mortgage, income, property, and closing documentation
  • Meet all other NHSOKLA and funding-source requirements
